How to enter

To enter the 2020 Australian Business Book Awards, complete the online entry form, make your payment, post your books and supply the required files.

You must submit with your form:

  • A PDF copy of your book.
  • A JPG or PDF of your cover.
  • Your MP3 audiobook file if you are entering the Best Audiobook category.
  • Examples of your marketing and publicity if you are entering the Best Marketing and Publicity category.

Once you have completed your entry and paid your entrance fees, post two printed copies of your book for each category entered to:
(please note that the books do not need to reach us by the 31st August, they only need to be put in the mail and postmarked by the close of business on the 31st August.)

If you are submitting an audiobook, you must also submit a print version of your book in one of the subject categories and also enter the audiobook category. Please submit your audiobook via the Dropbox or We Transfer buttons on page 4 of the entry form.

If you are entering the Marketing and Publicity category, please scan or photograph any printed media and supply it with your entry. Please upload using the Dropbox or We Transfer buttons on page 4 of the entry form.

Please put all electronic files you are uploading (PDF of book, cover image and audiobook and publicity material if you are entering those categories) into one Zip file and name it after your book title. You will be able to upload this file on page 4 of the entry form. Please submit your cover as a 2D flat image not as a 3D mock-up.

Entry fees

$99 (inc. GST) per book for the first category entered. Additional categories are $44 (inc. GST) per category per book.

After completing the online entry form you will be taken to a payment page where you can use a credit card to pay for your entry. Your entry will not be considered until payment has been made. Entry forms must be submitted and payment made by 31st August 2020 and printed books must be postmarked by no later than 31st August 2020. Please note this does not mean books have to reach us by the 31st August, only that they need to be mailed by close of business on the 31st August.

Any profits from the awards will be donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
