A good way to get started on your designs is to provide us with some cover designs that reflect how you would like your book to look. So, you can go to a book store or have a look on your shelves, or have a look online.
A good place to start can be Booktopia: https://www.booktopia.com.au/
You can also see some of our recent covers here:

Have a think about colours, images, fonts and layout. If you’re not sure yet, we’re sure you’ll find some ideas when you start looking. You can send these design ideas to us however you like: links from an online store, copy them into a Word file, screenshots, JPGs, scans, snap them with your phone, even mail the books to us. You can also attach files to this form, or email them to Anna at the email address below. Details of what you like about each design is very helpful as well, and any other information you’d like to provide that you think might be useful.
Once you’ve done this we’ll send you some initial concepts. After that, we provide two more major design rounds, with four further rounds of revisions once the design has been chosen (this includes adding your spine and back cover).
Please keep in mind that design is a process, so do not expect finished-looking covers to begin with. The video on this page answers some common questions about the design process, and shows you an example of how a book cover evolves.
We highly recommend you watch this short video before completing the form.
