For the last three years, we at Publish Central along with Andrew Griffiths Enterprises have run the Australian Business Book Awards.
Each year the awards have grown, and this year we had a record number of entries (133), a record number of judges (46) and donated a record amount to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation ($20,000).
We are also super proud that one of the books we worked on was named Book of the Year: Tracy Sheen’s The End of Technophobia. Tracy also won the Technology category.
While we manage the Australian Business Book Awards and Michael is a judge, we have strict guidelines around judging a book, including asking the entrants to specify anyone who helped them with their book and also asking judges to let us know if they have been given a book to judge that they have worked on. This means that no book is judged by anyone who has been involved in its production or promotion.
We are also very proud to recognise two of our other authors who were finalists at the awards:
- Cassandra Goodman with Self-Fidelity was a finalist in the Personal Development and in the Health and Wellbeing categories.
- Stephanie Bown with Purpose, Passion and Performance was a finalist in the Leadership category.
